Way to go, Austin High School! Make it clear to any good-hearted person coming out of college with a desire to help (and no sense of financial self-preservation) that teaching is a spit-upon, worthless exercise in catering to the lowest of common denominators. The kids of tomorrow will be fucked by your efforts, but at least the graduates of today will be saved from falling into your clutches.
Having said that, dear employers throughout the country... read the following very carefully:
You do not own your employees or their lives. Adult existence is not G-rated. What I create and see and do and believe in my free time is none of your fucking concern. Mind your own business and shut the hell up.
Thank you in advance.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Until they found the topless photos, Austin High School officials considered Tamara Hoover an excellent art teacher with a knack for helping students find their creativity.06-17-2006 03:33:04AM - Permalink - Comment [1] - Trackback
This must be my day for "gimme a fucking break" news. This one is so insane on so many levels that it absolutely boggles the mind.
- Cross-dressing has little to do with homosexuality. Many (most?) cross-dressers are straight. Don't confuse "men who get turned on by wearing female clothing" with "men who want to be women" or "men who are gay".
- Similarly, men who put on women's clothing as a gag or to participate in a social experiment are not cross-dressers. They are men involved in a gag or a social experiment.
- The girls in that school wear male clothes all the time... it's common practice. I imagine the pathetic little housewife/lowlife who raised the fuss has worn one or two of her husband's shirts on occasion. I guess that makes her a militant lesbo.
- What on earth could convince a school district to bow to this kind of crap? If nothing else, they should have established a "Tyranny of Moralism Day" as an alternative.

A homecoming tradition in which boys dress like girls and vice versa in a tiny Texas school district won't be held Wednesday after a parent complained about what she regarded as the event's homosexual overtones.11-17-2004 05:03:20PM - Permalink - Comment [0] - Trackback
