Both parties have lost me. Again. I dunno, maybe I'll vote for a Communist this year, or Bob Barr. Anyone but these two dweebs.
Why? Because Obama and McCain talk more about their opponent than they do about themselves.
I'm sick of hearing that McCain is old and Obama is out of touch. I don't CARE what McCain thinks of Obama's energy plan - I care what McCain's energy plan is. I don't CARE what Obama's opinion of McCain's negativity is. I don't CARE if the other side played the race card.
Just tell me what YOU plan to do, gentlemen. Tell me what impact you expect your plan to have, if implemented. I don't even mind if you compare plans - but don't tell me your opinion of the other guy. If you thought he was better than you, you wouldn't be running, right? I get it.
The lack of substance in both campaigns is disgusting. There's not enough to either one of these guys to make a President if you joined them at the hip. The only thing either one is an expert on is the faults of the other.
I realize that some of this is the fault of the media, who do the world's worst job of reporting substance, but are just GREAT at reporting tripe. But the campaigns keep giving them tripe to report.
So til we get a real candidate with a real set of positions who actually wants to talk about something of substance, I think we'd all be better served to write in Mickey Mouse. At least he's entertaining.
